JBL talks about The Rock?s popularity among fellow wrestlers ? WWE News
JBL, former WWE wrestler, disregarded rumours of The Rock being unpopular among fellow wrestlers. Rumours of The Rock not getting the deserved attention backstage have surfaced recently, however JBL brushed aside these rumours saying The Rock has always been popular among fans and fellow wrestlers.
John ?Bradshaw? Layfield said, ?I hear the resentment/jealousy of the Rock backstage and I quite frankly don't believe it. Four of the world's biggest superstars in Cena, Rock, Undertaker and Triple H will headline WM-this is huge for WWE and the business-guys should be dying to be on this card and my guess is they are. It's very simple to those who do have any problem with it, if there is anyone truly that does-replace them and there won't be a spot for them.
He further said that wrestlers like Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels have earned the popularity they cash every time they make an entry. He added that John Cena and CM Punk have also earned the right to live on the top.
He further said that these wrestlers will only quit doing this when they think they cannot do it anymore. He said even Piper and Diesel generate that buzz and draw attention when they come in which shows how great they all are.
JBL?s comments came in as a reply to those who think The Rock is no longer needed in the WWE. In the recent past, many analysts have come with the view that The Rock might be a factor of jealousy for other wrestlers backstage who do not want him to steal the show anymore. However, JBL has brushed aside all these rumours by saying wrestlers still love The Rock?s presence and more than that what matters is how fans react towards him.
The Rock was once the most popular WWE star and was regarded as ?The People?s Champion?. Even today he electrifies the crowd as soon as his music hits. Nobody can replace The Rock. He stands as a legend and an inspiration for upcoming wrestlers. Among the best like Shawn Michaels and Triple H, The Rock has a special place and he still has enough to last for another 10 years.
